Seekor Harimau Kumbang Ditangkap Di Ulu Bendul

KUALA PILAH: Seekor harimau kumbang berjaya ditangkap oleh Jabatan Perlindungan Hidupan Liar dan Taman Negara (Perhilitan) Negeri Sembilan di Kampung Tanjung Limau Purut, Ulu Bendul dekat sini malam Jumaat.

Pengarah Perhilitan Negeri Sembilan, Mohd Zaide Mohamed Zin berkata harimau kumbang betina yang berusia tiga tahun dan seberat 20 kilogram itu ditangkap selepas ia memasuki perangkap besi yang dipasang di belakang rumah seorang penduduk sejak 5 Mei lepas dengan menggunakan umpan itik angsa.

"Pada pukul 7.55 malam, penduduk kampung itu mendengar bunyi pintu perangkap jatuh dan mengesyaki harimau tersebut telah terperangkap.

"Dia kemudian menghubungi pegawai kami. Kita telah menghantar harimau itu ke Zoo Melaka pagi tadi untuk dipelihara," katanya kepada Bernama.

Penduduk tersebut Muhamad Yunus sebelum ini membuat aduan kepada Perhilitan ekoran banyak itik angsa dan ayam belanda peliharaannya dimakan oleh binatang buas. "Kita telah mejalankan siasatan dan mengenal pasti jenis binatang yang mengganggu dan memakan binatang peliharaan pengadu sebelum memasang perangkap tersebut," kata Mohd Zaide.

Beliau berkata kejadian tersebut merupakan kali kedua harimau kumbang masuk perangkap di kampung tersebut yang kejadian pertama berlaku bulan Februari lepas.-sumber kosmo
